Program details and Facility information

Program details

Our program is built around four core lifts: Squat, Bench Press, Power Clean, and Deadlift. We utilitize progression through manipulation of repititions of a 1 rep max (1RM) that is obtained the first two weeks of the semester. We then split the program into three muscle building phases or periods. The three periodization phases are: Muscular hypertrophy, Muscular strength, and Absolute Muscular strength. Each period last two weeks and repeats its self one time through before our max week at midsemester. The program then restarts using the newly obtained 1RM and then builds for the end of the semester 1 rep maximum. This allows our students to gain and build muscle and then strengthen that newly obtained muscle.

Absences and tarries

If you are absent, it is your responsibility to make up that absence. You can make up your absences by visiting the baseball office at the very beginning of lunch Monday. You will have 4 minutes from the start of class to be dressed and down in the weight room. Not doing so will result in a loss of points.

Water Plate

We pride ourselves on working hard and getting better each and every day Nothing exmplifies that more than our water plate. To get a drink of water you must first locate and grab the water plate, take it to the water fountain and then bring it back. "We get better when we drink water!" - Coach Greene

Permission slip

You must be granted permission to be in either Athletic Fitness or Advanced Physical Education by Coach McAllaster, Coach Freeman, Coach Greene, Coach McCarthy, or Coach Kenyon. You get this sheet in the counselors office. However, as an elective, we reserve the right to remove any student who we feel are not giving us their best attitudes or their best effort, distracting others from working hard or are not down there to help Borah athletes become champions.
